Description
In Book 6 of the Carlo the Mouse children’s book series, our charming friend Carlo has begun to get bored of watching cooking shows on TV and outsmarting the hospital manager, cook, and the numerous exterminators hired to rid themselves of the clever mouse. His parents know that he needs a change of scenery and perhaps a girlfriend. One day, Carlo spies a pretty young red-haired mouse sitting on a garbage can outside. It’s love at first sight, but she doesn’t seem to even notice poor Carlo. The mouse decides to change his appearance, so he steals peroxide and creates a punk rock hairstyle. To his surprise, Maria introduces herself. They discover mutual interests like cooking shows and a wish to travel to Paris. In no time at all, Carlo and Maria marry and have three children. Sounds like the story will have a happily ever after ending, but one day when Carlo is daydreaming, he falls from the hospital canopy into an open car trunk. Where will Carlo end up? I can’t tell you, but it might be the beginning of a whole new series of vacation adventures.
