    In the third book of the Carlo the Mouse series, little Carlo finds himself trapped in the office of the hospital manager. He can still hear the chef and his kitchen staff outside the door desperately trying to get inside. Meanwhile, Carlo has been thinking about how he should have heeded his parents’ warnings to remain in the busy emergency room where he would not be noticed. The manager calls the exterminator; Carlo is sure that his time is up. That is, until he realizes that the manager is afraid of mice. The manager and exterminator attempt to lure Carlo into a baited cheese trap, but he is too clever.
